Our Story

Lindsey and I met nearly six years ago, working together at the public pool in her hometown of Henderson. She and I both took notice of one another rather quickly during our summer months together. After awkward introductions and a few Q & A's, Lindsey and I became friends. For the first time in my life, I was feeling something a little different than just the usual eye candy symptoms that ladies clad in swimsuits can bring about. Lindsey was something really special: different from any of the girls I had known in my whole life. She was funny, smart, very independent, adventerous and strong willed. Yet, she was very kind and selfless, very open to others and quick to lend a hand. Plus she had red hair... and I'm a sucker for red heads. I was all but one lame pickup line away from taking Lindsey out on a date (or so I saw it in my head) when one of my co-workers fudged the bucket... Lindsey already had a serious relationship... bum bum bum...

So I laid off immediately, totally defeated... and simply continued our friendship for the remainder of our time together. The story goes on and on just as we both moved on... but to make it really short, I was at a very low place in my life when suddenly, by a twist of fate, Lindsey came back into my life in a big way. After a period of me being taken and her being single, eventually she and I were both up for grabs. She asked me to go skiing with her and a few of her friends during January of 2008. I was sick... and had no money... but I did have a credit card and thought "Why not?" It was on that trip... while her other friends were asleep, that I watched her making breakfast for us... that's when I knew Lindsey was more than just special to me. That's when I knew I was getting a second chance that some people only dream about... that's when I knew I was going to marry her!

The rest is history, a history I hope friends and family can help make more amazing by helping out with the honeymoon!

Travel Arrangements

We will be leaving from Louisville on the Saturday after our wedding.

I know that several people probably already have gift ideas and by all means, your presence alone will be enough to make our wedding day special!
